HUBB and VoiceAbility have been working closely for some time and having identified shared values and aims are actively discussing the possibility of merger. Against the backdrop of greater public sector funding cuts and of increasing needs for professional issue-based advocacy to ensure the voices of people using or needing social and health care services are really heard, we’re excited at the prospect of bringing the expertise and passion of the two organisations together in order to work more effectively across East London. We’ll be working closely with our respective staff teams and with HUBB’s Trustees and members over the coming months to explore options more fully and will make final decisions a little later in the year.
