2011 marks our 20th Anniversary!

Lynn Burling is a Training & Development Worker with HUBB. She joined the organisation in 1998 as a ‘Self Advocacy Development Worker’, responsible for establishing peer support groups for those experiencing mental illness and encouraging people to speak up for themselves. The informal groups led to establishing further training initiatives culminating in her current position.
Lynn is highly respected for her work and promotion of ‘Recovery’ and ‘Wellbeing’. She has established a number of well received Recovery Groups in Havering, Barking & Dagenham. In 2009 she qualified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
As well as training and educating others about effective service user involvement at South Bank University Lynn has written articles for Mental Health Today on the ethical debate of confidentiality and disclosure of personal information in Advocacy.
Lynn has recently completed a Patient Educator Foundation Degree with South Bank University and was a member of the HUBB team that was short listed as a finalist of the Health and Social Care Awards 2008 for Mental Health and Wellbeing Award.
