Dinah joined HUBB in 1995 working part-time as a Mental Health Advocate in the old Warley Hospital and then in the local community. In 2007 she became one of HUBB’s new statutory Independent Mental Capacity Advocates. Previously Dinah had worked in vocational guidance for adults in central London and for forces overseas, in staff welfare, work related counselling, training and educational management and policy development in both the public and privatised sectors. She did voluntary work in Adult Literacy and with the British Association for Counselling, and enjoyed riding and badminton. Now Dinah prefers gardening and encouraging her husband’s pottery.
